I'll keep this very brief. I wish you all much joy at Christmas. At Sunninghill Library where I organize events with fellow volunteers, we ended our year with Christmas bingo called by Dame Gertie Dollop and the villain Roger Heinkel from the Quince Players pantomime, Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Friends who starred in some of our events this year were Jo Walton from my Thames & Hudson days, and Tracy Chevalier who worked with me on The Dictionary of Art in the 1980s.
